Rag Diary FInal Week

1st Aug, Sat

final countdown to rag

continued from the episode yesterday

recera room sofa was occupied

so i just hanged around dining hall with Stan

 

kicked start with a breakfast

then facebooked Seng Kiat

walao…

how i know

he really came down

 

but something dramatic happened

we talked and talked

and somehow the topic wandered to my date, John Bok

Seng Kiat said

he saw John Bok came into the dining hall direction

but he turned back

oh man

must be he saw he with Seng Kiat here

then decided to go back

and the best part is

they actually know each other

good friends 4 three years in sec

then John transfered to another school

something strange happened in between

and they never talk anymore

 

during FWOC

Seng Kiat got try to talk to him

but never work out

how come?

some more both want to do Political Science

 

so i officially declared

my date was driven away

but i got a good housekeeping assistant

he is a nice guy

called me Oscarina

after the Oscar in Sesame street

who stay in a rubbish bin

called him Elmo

Emo Elmo

 

 

we did all the way till 1 pm

showered then at 1.30

then here was the Operation briefing

for the big day

all the way till after 4pm

i think i dozed off a few time

i was in charged of touch-up material

and transportation for the picnic basket too

 

damn hungry

ate a whole bowl of black glutinous rice

then got a char siew pao from Seng Kiat

 

after cutting the lunch boxes for awhile

hanged around for awhile

started the serious work

cutting of wrappers again

this is not as easy as the cadbury

 

during dinner time at 8

felt damn tired

while i was showering

i almost felt asleep

didn’t even use showel gel

and i talked in the dream to SC

about someone entering her room

we need to move out of the room

because some one is moving in

omg

 

slept all the way till 4.30 am

came down

the first song i heard

AAR – it ends tonight

no the game is just about to start

 

wrapping of the wrappers round a host

can’t get it right

gave up hope

asked my supervisor to give me

some other job instead

 

my breakfast at 6am

 

saw everyone going back

so i didn’t do anything too

just on Stan

showed Tien all the photos of India trip

and other photos too

i guess i am missing the good old days

and the people too

 

2nd Aug, Sun

went back to recrea

thank god it was empty already

moved Ms. Elle to dining hall, cooking porridge there

then decided to move my everything down

set up a new home at dining hall

 

called back home

the internet back home was down

i miss my family the most

out of all the things i miss out during rag

mom passed the phone to Xiao B

mom said she was showing emo face

i am definitely coming back on the 9th of Aug

 

i tried to imagine her face

but i guess kid at her age

changed a lot all the time

maybe the hair is already long

maybe she has learnt new phrases now

was she looking something like this

 

settled in, had another round of breakfast

routine stuffs

 

felt super happy after i uploaded my 2 posts

lunch was oyster rice

i exchanged some with Tien

got some fried rice with dishes

but super oily

 

went on to do work

cut Coffee Mate

nobody wanted the creamer

so i took it all

 

Hitesh came and sat on the same table

told him i was down with sore throat

and could not talk at all

little bitch

 

but today was a good day

because we have hot water and food all the time

Andrew kept stealing the dried oyster from ms Elle

i think more than 10

talked to mom for awhile

during dinner time

couldn’t find my webcam though

later it was found in the food stash

Lena misplaced the bottles i have cut

so have to cut all over again

then cleaned them with thinner

because some were stuck with glue

 

hanged out with some A block Malaysian freshies

even lend my iron to them

i haven’t used the iron

since last year formal year

 

had some ice-cream from Andrew

then 2nd round of supper

my hot porridge

because i was feeling very cold

 

 

was sorting out some shapes

because i have messed up the color

too tired

but couldn’t sleep there

just slept outside the dining hall

like some security guard

Sushi walked past

asked me why didn’t i sleep inside

told her it is too dirty

she was puzzled

i meant by dirty is not dining hall

but rag area outside

sometimes in the middle of sleepiness

i just couldn’t talk properly

 

then went upstairs to sleep

Siow Chuen couldn’t find her matric card

so i decided to borrow

just took Andrew’s from the table

without telling him

 

all the way till next day…

 

Tue 03

came down at 7

raggers were having breakfast

they were finding Andrew and Xiao Dan

because Xiao Dan borrowed Beeling’s card

then i remembered

gosh, Andrew’s card was still upstairs

borrowed Tien’s card and go get it

and quietly put it back

the chain effect of disappearing matric card

the story is too long

but can see that Bee Ling was antsy

 

today was FIC, inauguration

all dressed up

met some freshies in the lift

all in very Zara, Mango kind of formal wear

but me

still in the spag top i been wearing since Sunday

 

returned the card within one hour to Tien

as promised

but i took 50 mins, i guess

 

did housekeeping

played baseball with the giant Pocky

3 crazy people

me, Andrew and Siow Chuen

 

Bryan came down for breakfast with the rag dancers

told him about my failed date

i wasn’t really sad

but just felt my effort and time have gone wasted

on a guy i don’t even care for

just trying to be a kind senior

but who knows

my date will be another hot guy

 

housekeeping was fast today

including the rag area, spray painting area

even without the help of Oscar Seng Kiat

because i need to do modules bidding

 

the managerial econs and legal environment of biz

both mods were hot properties

with less than 10 slots

forget bout it

took Geo & Society and Marketing instead

still considering the possibility

of a minor in geog

told Andrew maybe econs is just not for me

playfulness, un-mathematical

don’t fit in the image of a serious economist

 

camwhoring round the rag area

but Andrew’s photography skill is bad

no choice…

 

 

hanged around, all the way till 1pm

wrote this post twice

because Stan just simply hanged

and the program was closed

without me saving the draft

 

then happily cooking something

suddenly the chairperson came

asking me

“hey how come the peacock feather on the cup

is not up yet”

the tone started outright to be scolding

how am i supposed to know sia

“you supposed to ask the designer”

“i want it up by today”

“what were you doing yesterday”

 

just fuck off lar

came check the progress at rest hour

and blamed me for thing irrelevant to me

why don’t you come down

when everyone is around

then asked me about XIao Dan

why she is not working now

what was she doing

 

damn it

but i don’t care

the more stressful they are now

the more enjoyable i feel

relax man….

life still goes on

 

rehearsal supposed to start at 2.45pm

got sms stating like that lar

the management people

got frustrated talk to us

waited and waited

lots of problems here and there

the whole thing started after 5

 

time was so abundant that

i got time to camwhore

omg, look at myself

jokingly told Geok Han that

i am the F block pageant

the pageants photos just up today

my job is damn easy

supposedly i was one of these four people in there

lifting the drum up for the finale

but now it’s so simpler

just to remove the dance props

after the dancers took out

3 pieces of cakes from the picnic basket

 

Siow Chuen going to be around

the same hiding spot too

so is Bryan

so pretty relaxed

and can still what’s going on the float

 

rehearsal all the way till dinner

no dinner for me

went up shower as usual

then came down

Flag opening ceremony

Master was speaking

took some food for Geok Han and myself

so delicatedly

because the whole hall was quiet

what if suddenly ms Elle was heard

by out beloved Master

and the whole hall will turn and look at me

 

stuffed in Oreo, potato, tomato

into my hungry trashy tummy

 

Leonard came

helped me to do the dish washing thingy

plus Samuel from his block

Andrew just hanged around,

taking coffee break

 

then Rachel the E block pageant

stopped by and talked

can’t believe i can hang around

with people from different blocks and talk

plus Rachel actually know my name?

was told Jonathan was interested in

an A block senior

so he has really turned his back on me

 

while i was doing this dishwashing thingy alone

got a bit antsy

because of the dirtiness a

and itchiness

 

thought got into my mind

i guess this is the first time

senior got rejected by freshie in dating game

and this guy is not even a hot property

plus my lovely card

 

the flag’s stuffs

 

went up and washed up after finishing this

later helped Xiao Dan with the peacock

i got kao-pe about in the afternoon

actually i did nothing much

just sorted out some can puller rings

just to hang around with

Wu Fan and Xiao Dan

 

Wu Fan was called to the recrea

about some shortage of payment

i don’t know what was going on

and how they finally settle

 

finally got sleepy

slept like a security guard

outside the dining hall again

then went upstairs to sleep as usual

 

a little bag was found outside D508

maybe it was Siow Chuen’s one

saw my name

took it in

then left it aside

maybe it’s Jonathan

telling me he is going after Chin Gi

 

till 1 am came down

just nice for a birthday party

Li Ting and Bee Ling

nice cakes, supper or whatever

 

 

washed my face at the basin

because my face smelled egg-ish

Dung (pronouced as Zung) actually

smashed the cake onto my face

even though  a little bit only

but the smell was unbearable

not only i believe in my dad that

sometimes they use spoilt eggs

to make cakes

 

the roses was picked up by

the supper store uncle

from the rubbish dump

is it from dating game?

12 at least i think

 

 

then did lots of fun stuffs together

 

serious work

something i enjoy doing finally

then another urgent task

the flowers on hold first

happened to like this too

because i was also making gift

for Jonathan

because he gave me something very sweet

most raggers think that he D-I-Y this

but i am not willing to reply to him yet

because he did far too little

and he still refused to turn up

 

Flag day today

people started to flood in

after 5 to collect their breakfast

and set ready to go

the C block Hong Ping came and talked

promised to come and help out tonight

as if I believe

sure say after flagging whole day

tired like hell

blah blah blah

 

after that flaggers had their meeting

they still have the time

to go back and sleep after the meeting

 

my gift to him

 

then came back for some fun time

manicure

all the blue colors

tried to create different shapes

but can’t work

but i like the natural effects

  

 

plus a tattoo

 

then another project

KRavings on my bag

this is the first time i think

spray-painting is fun

 

 

then flagger Wei-li came and hang around

wanted to do thing for his date

Magdeline, what a long name

just like 8 letters, Jonathan

then continued with my spray painting work

Kelvin Chew came in around 12 +

checked their candy jar

saw me painting this

 

jokingly told him that

people came work at 2

while i was here at 12

so no harm, right

 

then the ex top boss came

luckily i an find something to

assign to him

otherwise will get complaint

for incompetency again

 

started work

continued with yesterday work

the rag helper commander came

all engineers except me and Andrew

were in there

listening to how to co-ordinate with the helpers

we were like invisible there

 

tried to talk to Li Ting

then unheeded too

not really sure whether she did hear it

or she just chose to ignore me

 

worked all the way till 4 +

time to go to bed, sweetie

all the way till 10.30 pm

 

woke up

meal time..

supper ? dinner ?

 

went on to work

but getting impatient

because itchiness kept bugging me

line becoming crooked

 

Seng Kiat came to help

then later Hong Pin

hanged out with them

told them how my dating game

was screwed up

forget about it

 

worked till around 5

without a nap

although i very much feel like

what kept me awake?

 

plus working together with

Siow Chuen and Sushi

had a row with Andrew

because i think he treated his gf badly

refused to go out and help her

even though she was all stressed up

about a 12 am deadlline

just relaxing inside

selfish man is the worst ever bf

plus he kept using the word F*ck You too much

it irritated me a lot

 

now i am like a gold fish

kept refilling food

till my tummy is bloated

i don’t care

food is the best entertainment now

 

house-keeping

preparation for rehearsal tomorrow

then collected the chocolate wrappers

 

left out again

for photo shoot

4th Aug, Tue

the beehoon i cooked whole afternoon

finally served it after 6

with dried oyster

so it is 100 percent nice

 

then had some discussion with my manager

about the touch-up materials for rag day

i just did not have the heart for the team

although i like our float

felt disgusted thinking of the people

 

came down

wanted to do my own stuffs

after finish writing this

Hong Pin was here

so we painted the flowers

just emulsion

 

 

all the way till 12.30 pm

he wanted to jio me out for lunch

but just too bad there was

C block lunch

 

went up, showered

then knocked out

all the way till 2

went down and changed

coped some vege dish from raggers lunch

then went up to change

was confused

wore long jeans

but it turned out that the rag helpers rehearsal

had nothing to do with me

luckily i still wore my tank top inside

 

just hanged around with Pei Qiang and Geok Han

now we formed the F block group

then later went on to paint

gossiped a lot with Geok Han and Tien

Tien said he will help me to move

 

dinner time have fun together

this is the best dinner ever in hall

 

went out to find Aloysius and Florencia

camwhoring awhile

 

dessert 3 glasses of cincau nata-coco

talked to Wang Xiao about hall life

continued folding till fallen asleep

 

 

slept on the table

then outside

then in the room

got people knocked

it was Lionel

Mercy was selling hall bash ticket

thought it was Lena

 

brought my thing outside to paint

slept outside

woke up

Andrew wrote Loli Unglam on my hand

 

saw the E block hot guy

came back at 4am

painted inside

 

liked the song crazy in love

breakfast time

started to paint it

all the way till 9.30

 

 

rushed to take breakfast

spent quite some time in shower

all the paints…

 

my brunch is still spaghetti

Hong Bin came down to hang out

outsourced him to Geok Han

i need to write this

 

then went out with Geok Han

check-in time

very very much in love

with my new room

came back at 3

 

about to start rag helper rehearsal

actually i just relaxed one corner

while people were all sweating

carrying the props in and out

under the hot sun

but i got nothing to do

 

decided to move some of my stuffs over

thank god Wei Li is helping

with the 3 A4 boxes

when we came back

encountered rag dance rehearsal

another pang of guiltiness hit me

 

but moving house must go on

went another round during dinner time

took matric card from Andrew

then sneaked back

he called me and smsed me

saw foul words in the sms

so when i came down

we quarreled

i hate to be scolded with foul word

and i had told him that I am borrowing

didn’t talk to him for awhile

 

did 5x5 again

another orange color

 

with Hai Bee

we could have been good neighbour cum friends

if i have been more sociable

relaxed awhile with Seng Kiat too

dinner was red bean dessert plus soup

 

after dinner continued work

really really sleepy

especially hanging out with whole table of PRC

and the coldness

11pm went to chill out at Wei Li’s room

then returned

 

after 12 there was a KFC supper

for all raggers plus dancers

message to us : no sleep till the float is done

 

sent this to Bryan’s room

felt a bit sad

i could do nicer thing to Jonathan

but this is such a lousy gift

 

3am painting with eyes half closed

till my face fell on to the ply wood

i kissed the ply wood

wet with emulsion paint

but lucky it’s just emulsion

went up to sleep

with Hai Bee’s card

 

6am came down

thank god Hai Bee had collected her card

continued painting

 

9am another moving trip

got lost, went to the back of PGP

lent PQ’s my econs textbook

with the promise that

he will close down his GG block

and officially become a F blocker

 

went up for my long shower as usual

i noticed Jonathan had been there since breakfast

pretended i didn’t see him all the way

 

painting and painting

till i was called in to do the job

i am supposed to do

preparation of touch up materials

my job is fairly easy

just to make sure that

the engineers had the materials,

stationaries and spray paints they need

 

actually if i want to

i could have do all these

but just did not feel like going in

and face the faces i don’t like

nobody likes me there either

as i always said

people make friends throughout 3 months

but seems that i make lots of enemy too

 

ready packed up materials

 

3pm cooked noodle with Geok Han

steamboat style Tom Yam noodle

i broke the handle of ms Elle

unconsciously twisted it then…

 

housekeeping time

shouted at Lena

because now only she told me

i need to pack up stationary

just ignored her and kept busy with my broom

 

ragger dinner

got priority to cut queue

i didn’t tap any card

 

preview time

took care of the dance props

 

went back to pack up

9m ready to go

travelled to SRC in Kelvin’s mini lorry

 

relabled all the spray paints with Hong Bin

then after 11pm

just took a nap

on the grass
